The season of light, when Christmas, Hanukkah and other holy days coincide, is a special time to reflect on the shared ideals of love, peace, hope and light.

The Reverend Robin Long and Rabbi Chava joined forces and voices once again for “The Reverend and the Rabbi Celebrate the Season of Light: A Concert in Story and Song” on Saturday, December 13 at 7 PM the Suttons Bay Congregational Church.

The Reverend and the Rabbi bill themselves as “the hottest female clergy singing duo in Leelanau County”, where the competition for the title is fierce.

This year’s holiday season in unique in that Christmas, Hanukkah, Muharram (the Muslim New Year) and several other holy days from world traditions coincide in late December. “We hope to bring the shared celebration of light, love, hope and peace to our community in this entertaining format,” said Rev. Long. “And dessert,” added Bahle.
